Hi, I'm
Christina

I’m a recovering attorney who found the joy of furkids and photography about a decade ago.

But, like most of us, I had to continue the grind in the corporate world until I was able to pursue my dream full on.

I’m a recovering attorney who found the joy of furkids and photography about a decade ago.

But, like most of us, I had to continue the grind in the corporate world until I was able to pursue my dream full on.

Here’s a little about my story. I graduated law school in 2005 and started working as a defense litigation attorney in the Philadelphia area. After a few years, life threw me a curve ball and a new adventure began.

In 2008, I moved to Colorado and got a little 3 month old Siberian Husky, Newton. The move out West & the love and joy that Newton brought to my life was something I had never experienced before. Being in such a beautiful place made me appreciate nature more intensely, and it also brought a sense of independence and adventure that quickly grew.

I soon picked up my new camera and headed out into the mountains with Newton. While I was in Colorado, I pursued my Master’s at CU at Boulder and caught a break from lawyering.

First picture I ever took of Newton (2008)
First paying gig. She jumped in the pool 5 minutes in.
Then, as sometimes happens, life through a curveball my way.

Then, a few years later, I went through some personal changes, and I returned to the East Coast and back to the legal profession. But, my love for photography and furkids never wavered. I continued to hone my photography skills and slowly built up my arsenal of camera gear.

In 2014, my amazing husband and partner, John, pushed me to start Wag Your Tail. While the idea of starting a business while working full time as an attorney seemed nuts to me, I also knew that this could be the start of something amazing and I had to take the opportunity. And so, WYTP was born.

Now living in both San Diego and beautiful Denver, Colorado, my life has come full circle.

The sense of pride and joy that has come with my winding journey is hard to put into words. But, I hope that you can see, and feel it, it in the images that I create.

My vision is simple: Join together the beauty and joy of the four-legged love of your life with a sense of artistry and creativity.

What's in my Bag?

A Nikon D5 camera, the Sigma Art 135 mm lens, Nikkor 70-200 mm, 20 to 70mm and 50mm lenses, and the Tamron 35 mm; for my studio photography I use Paul C. Buff lighting gear; for all sessions, you’ll find my bag chock full of squeaky toys and treats galore.

This is my husband John. He comes with me on every shoot to help.

This is me. And I finally hired a photographer for us!

This is Newton. My very first dog, who we said goodbye to in October 2022.

This is Maya. We adopted her in 2016, and said goodbye to in June 2021.
